Michael Plyler's color work is rendered in Fuji Crystal
Archive print material, the most archivally stable
photographic medium available.
The original photograph is executed on color transparency
film in 120 format (medium format). The original
transparency is then scanned on a high resolution drum
scanner and a digital file is created. The final image is "dialed in" using photoshop, then printed with laser light,
and processed as a "wet" photographic print in the darkroom. |
